Career Guidance Orientation workshop for the beneficiaries of Rescue Foundation

Project Kalki works toward the upliftment of the marginalized by assessing their need and developing sustainable programs that will benefit them in the long run. The organization believes that access to education and vocational training is a fundamental right and is of paramount importance. This year Dheya had the opportunity to collaborate with Project Kalki on two separate occasions.

Project Kalki associated with Dheya for Career Guidance of girls under the “FOR HER program” to empower trafficking survivors with holistic vocational training programs and thereby breaking the chain of re-trafficking. The girls in 14-17 yrs.The girls in the age group are survivors rescued from sex trade in Mumbai and are living in Government and non-Government shelter Homes.
The objective of this collaboration was to facilitate the Project Kalki staff in identifying employment-oriented training and skill-building needs of the survivors. Multiple Career Guidance Workshops were conducted which were then followed by personalised guidance sessions for the beneficiaries of the “For Her” Program.
