As part of the pilot for Centre for Women Development and Research , Dheya Kaaryam team conducted Career Guidance session for children living at the heart of Chennai near the famous Mundakanniyamman temple in Mylapore.

It’s a slum area, where most of the ladies work as maids. The parents and the children here have big dreams and want to have a better life, but they are confused and don’t know what livelihood is suitable for them and how to choose one.They don’t have anyone to guide them.

Dheya team conducted psychometric assessment of 3 students as a test pilot, and conducted career guidance by visiting their house. The children got to know their strengths, interests, personalities and suitable Career options.

After the Career Guidance session both, the Children and parents were so happy and energised.
The parents thought that we were reading the child’s Horoscope when we validated the child’s personality profile with them. When we described the child’s strengths and potential to become successful, during the session, the happiness on their faces and tears from their hearts can’t be expressed in words These are pure emotions and this is what motivates us to continue working hard to impact such children.
