Orientation program for SEC beneficiaries

Orientation Program for SEC beneficiaries by dheya

Dheya’s two senior mentors had an enriching session on Sunday, 9th of October with SEC in Mumbai. SEC supports and provides on ground tactical support to specially abled students and youth alike and they were supported by Rotary club in the current endeavor.

This was primarily an orientation program to impress upon, the 25 specially abled youth, most of whom are already working – to evaluate their psychometric profile via the famed Dheya model to accelerate their income opportunities in area, most aligned to their personality, ability, interest and practical realities.

It was heartening to note many youth looking forth to challenge their physical liability to make their future; a more prosperous and rewarding one. The event was graced by 2 senior members of Rotary club and Project Director Ms Manju and the Project Coordinator of SEC, Mr. Ganesh Sathe alongside the participants.

On a personal note too, the mentors had a satisfying experience – where they felt their contribution to deserving youth was in the right direction and if executed well would reap benefits to the youth.

The enablement of youth is one of the most rewarding feelings and this was quite evident in the session. It would also be an excellent learning for the mentors wherein they would practice a early career as well as a mid career intervention due to the broad age spectrum of the participants

An enthusiastic participation of specially abled youth in conjunction with highlighting the importance of career guidance and analysis with a crisp and practical relevance of the Dheya program, by the mentors made this session a success.
